About Dr. Harold J. Wanebo

For more than 30 years, Dr. Harold Wanebo has been serving the healthcare needs of the people of Rhode Island.  He was a Professor of Surgery at Boston University School of Medicine, Adjunct Professor of Surgery at Brown Medical School and Chief of the Dividision of Oncology at Roger Williams Medical Center.

Dr. Wanebo is world reknown for his aggressive approach to Cancer Surgery and has published extensively on the treatment of sarcomas, pancreatic cancers and the use of intra-abdominal perfusion chemotherapies.  He is a regulary featured speaker/presenter at national and international conferences of surgeons and oncologists and has been a leader in the surgical oncology for the State of Rhode Island.

Dr. Wanebo also serves on the Cancer Committee and Tumor Board.
